STRANGE things are happening in this country. America Ambassador went to hold a Meeting with the Chief Justice and DIRECTS that the Chief Justice (and Judges) pick up a new home to call him when they have a CASE so that the Ambassador can call his Friends he is connected with in America, so they can help on how they can Rule. This is stated Publicly and highly disturbing. Since this was announced publicly, on National Television, I expect the Judiciary to PUBLICLY explain this arrangement in the context of Article 78 (3) of our Constitution that says no person should interfere with Judges in the exercise of their duties. It must also be clarified as in how Many Judges have discussed cases with American Ambassador who connected them to Americans to guide them on how to deliver judgments! Oto Afraida Kaana komuBorni!

Namibia targets local tech firms for national digital ID platform

Namibia's government plans to source key components of its upcoming electronic identity (e-ID) platform from local technology providers as it prepares to launch the country's digital identity system in September 2026.

Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security Minister Lucia Iipumbu said local companies would be encouraged to participate in an open tender process for the development of systems underpinning the new digital identity infrastructure.

The e-ID initiative forms part of Namibia's broader digital transformation agenda and is expected to modernise identity verification, strengthen cybersecurity and improve access to digital public services.

We MUST teach our Youth and Students to know the DIFFERENCE in the LANGUAGE and TEXT of our LAWS and in Particular our Constitution. There is a difference between “A TERM OF FIVE (5) YEARS” and when it is written “A TERM NOT EXCEEDING FIVE (5) YEARS”. The FIRST one, “A Term of 5 years” means the term is FIXED, MANDATORY and NON-NEGOTIABLE. The appointing authority has no discretionary powers to SHORTEN IT to 2 days, two weeks or 1 year. The second one, “A term not exceeding 5 years” - means the appointing authority has DISCRETIONARY POWER to shorten the term within the MAXIMUM LIMIT of 5 years. When our Constitution (Article 94B) says ECN Chairperson is appointed for “a Term of Five (5) years” it means Exactly that. What will happen is that if they Succeed to VIOLATE THE CONSTITUTION, as planned, they will impose a pliable person for 6 months or 1 year—keeping them under their thumb, hoping for a FULL FIVE YEAR TERM. This destroys the independence of the Commission and turns it into a PUPPET SHOW. This person will be on REMOTE CONTROL and SALIVATE, as a Zombie for the Violators hoping for a 5 YEAR term later on. This person will be at Church and Prophets every Sunday. 5 Years is 5 Years. NO CORRUPTION. We will not allow it!!!

We hear a lot of Women leadership noise mainly by women who only want to Promite themselves and get the next available position. What is LOST is Real IMPACTFUL STORIES that are left in Silence because these women are not as LOUD. Natalia Goagoses was once a Chief Regional Officer of Erongo region. She got CLEAN AUDITS from the Auditor General, something many regional Councils struggle with to date. When she became Governor of Erongo, she found that the Office of the Governor was located in a HOTEL and government ostensibly paid more than N$ 100 000 per month for this Hotel located Governor office. She MOVED the Office OUT of the HOTEL and went to an old Government building that she is renovating from donations. Finance Minister Erica Shafudah is another. The Fiscal reforms we wanted for years as activists she has implemented. She Passed Regulations to stop Banks from being controlled and dominated by Foreigners. Banks Boards and Executive must now be 70% Namibian. She passed regulations on Building Societies and ended Corrupt financial management deals. We will now have GOLD as part our RESERVES and very soon we won’t have to pay for it. She also LISTENS and we may get, although not there yet, a Real SHIFT from a Neoliberal Capitalist Fiscal Orientation to Radical Fiscal transformation. These are women we should celebrate when it comes to PUBLIC FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT! In case no one recognizes your efforts, Meme Natalia and Meme Shafudah, we see your Efforts 🙌🏿❤️🫂
