JD Vance says he wants a “real bipartisan compromise” on housing. Great news for him. We already did that a couple weeks ago.

Democrats and Republicans came together and passed the 21st Century Road to Housing Act to lower housing costs, build more homes, and stop Wall Street investors from buying up single family homes and pricing working families out of their own neighborhoods.

Then Trump refused to sign it.

So if JD is looking for bipartisan compromise on housing, he doesn’t need to look far. He just needs to walk down the hall and ask his boss why he killed the one sitting on his desk.

One year ago today, Donald Trump signed into law the largest cuts to Medicaid and food assistance in American history. 

Why? Not to balance the budget, but to pay for tax cuts for the wealthiest people in this country. 

Five million Americans have now dropped their health insurance because of it. Republicans made that choice knowing full well who would suffer.  

I am fighting every day to reverse these devastating cuts, and I won’t stop until every American can afford to feed their families, keep the lights on, and see a doctor when they’re sick.
