@TheUnaButters I only ever had to get into one such argument like that to realize that sometimes people aren't as into the critically acclaimed thing as I am, and that it's better to just drop the subject at that point... especially if you aren't ready to see/hear that thing to get criticized.
@corneriaplanet4 It's definitely better than the voice he had in Assault and this new voice is perfectly fine on its own... though I admittedly will very much miss Ja Green's take on Leon.
Much like the art direction, I feel the more people hear the new voices, the more they'll get used to them.
This is my problem with how stealth is used in most AAA games. Because they’re not actual stealth games, they bend over backwards to make the systems as consequence-free as possible. That doesn’t usually work. Stealth games live and die on real and often harsh consequences.
@TheNCSmaster Part of what made Star Fox 64's dialogue so catchy was also that the voice acting and line delivery was near-perfect the whole game.
It had just the right amount of cheesiness without going overboard, and almost nothing sounded like it was emoted improperly.
Full disclosure: I've never played the original Rayman game. The few videos I've seen of people playing it on YouTube, however, suggested it was a very frustrating game.
The only Rayman games I've ever played were Origins and Legends (both of which are superb 2D platformers).
So what I'm getting from both the article and Twitter comments is that Rayman 1 hasn't aged all that well, and a good remake of it would require so many changes that it'd effectively become a whole different game entirely.
And that's basically what Origins is (great game, BTW).
@GeneralMCNews It's funny how when we were young, we were told that cartoon villains were an exaggeration. But if anything, I think they were pretty tame.
@JoshAnimator It's not even the ignorance that annoys me, but how strangely proud they are of said ignorance.
Why is it so hard for them to admit that they don't fully understand the subject matter? Why do so many of them insist on repeatedly humiliating themselves like this?
