@frank_seravalli I don’t think the question is if the player wants to be there - the question here in this case is “Do you want your children, and their children, to be set for life? If so then sign this piece of paper and they will be either way.”
@cptn_rick@HitboTC@SeaOfThieves They said previously that the Kraken updates were shelved (not delayed). I never had the impression it would move forward.
@TheAthleticNHL@jprutherford I think the bigger tell here is that he doesn't have the burning desire to win another cup. I think he may not have fully comprehended that he won't have that opportunity in the next 4 years in STL because they are going to do a full rebuild, not just a retool.
@bekind431955@TheAthleticNHL It appears that the leak was on Buffalo's side, to pressure him to make a quick decision so that they had time to go another direction if needed.
@RigasTimothy@JamesRadio Hell yes - it's not about losing Parry. But now that its clear that winning a cup is not priority #1 - we need to move him too. He won't have that opportunity here for the next 2-3 years minimum.
@JimmyBluesSTL@spittinchiclets Clearly, winning a cup, or winning in general is not the most important thing to Parry. Before this missed trade, it would have been fine for him to stay, now he has to go if you want to create a winning culture.
@Lud10075277@jprutherford@nytimes Not getting a first big trade is a big blow to getting the others to waive their NTC's. The players may well stick together and not accept trades, which is a problem of Army's own doing by giving out so many NTC's.
@NotchandDrop@jprutherford@nytimes Parayko's refusal of the trade is exactly what is wrong with the Blues. Winning the cup isn't the highest priority - and he just showed where his heart is - which is the difference between winning and losing at this level. Now he (and others) has to go too, if they want a Cup.
