POWER TRIP’s Riley Gale would have turned 37 today.
He had an inclusive political stance and vocals like a sledgehammer - he was a beloved figure in the hardcore thrash metal world.
And of course delivered searing live performances including the playing the hell out of my living room a few years back.

That time John Prine told a story in my living room about meeting his songwriting hero at Toronto’s Riverboat Cafe in Yorkville around 1971. The Riverboat was legendary for the artists that came through - Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, John Lee Hooker, Simon and Garunkel and that songwriting hero - Gordon Lightfoot.

Gordon recently had to call off his tour dates this year due to health-related issues. Wishing him all the best.
