Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazukulu, in my address last night, I guided that the country should not panic or worry about the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) terrorists because they were defeated long ago. The ADF was finally defeated in 2007, just before the Commonwealth Conference, when they tried to infiltrate Uganda through the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

They have resorted to desperate measures of trying to enter Uganda, planting bombs, and even assassinating some of our citizens. These are grave miscalculations by the ADF, and we will finish them. We know the planners of these attacks, and the DRC government has permitted us to go in and hunt for these terrorists.

As we are hunting for this group in the DRC, your responsibility is to be extra vigilant and report any unfamiliar faces you see in your communities to security authorities. Take a keen interest in new people who access churches, bars, and other public places, and ask them to identify themselves.
