Let me burst your heads: this intelligent lady will have more adversaries internally than the other "Tony" lady.
When you've not fully entered a system, never ever give "better" solutions. You are signalling that the people currently there are incompetent.
Rookie move.
BREAKING:
Political twist in Kano State as Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso picks Kano APC Deputy Governorโs Brother, Hon. Nasiru Sule Garo, for the Kano North Senate NDC ticket.
He'll battle the Deputy Senate President, Sen. Barau Jibrin.
I asked our young engineers to create a prototype technology that could fix election integrity in Nigeria.
The way it will work is simple: voters come to the polling station, tap their voterโs card on an electronic tablet or machine, and the political parties for that election appear. They then tap to select a party, and fingerprint or facial authentication takes place.
Once that is confirmed, the vote is recorded in real time and also sent to a live server where everyone in the country can see it in real time.
This will be done in Enugu by our stars within the next 2 weeks.
They will build both the software and hardware components.
Iโm raising a generation that sees solutions to every problem instead of dwelling too much on complaining.
I love this. totally different from general public view tho.
I now understand were @UnkleAyo point with obsessive with people blaming the the young lady comes from.
"Not a Culture Class but A Class War"
๐
Yesterday, a senior management official at @UBAGroup reached out to me regarding my views on the treatment of the young woman in UBAโs Graduate Management Accelerated Programme (GMAP) who addressed @TonyOElumelu by his first name.
I made it clear that, in my view, this was not a โculture clashโ; it was a class war, a reflection of the deeply entrenched hierarchy and class consciousness that too often determines who is considered entitled to demand deference and who is expected to provide it.
I gave a simple example, if Tony @TonyOElumelu son or daughter addressed the family gateman or driver by his first name, hardly any Nigerian would bat an eyelid.
In fact, many of the same people outraged by this young woman calling him โTonyโ would probably expect the gateman or driver to address Elumeluโs children with exaggerated deference. That tells you immediately that this argument is not really about โAfrican cultureโ or respect. It is about class, status, wealth and power, about who society permits to speak casually to whom.
More importantly, I specifically requested that, given the enormous public opprobrium, ridicule, and attacks this young woman has been subjected to, UBA must immediately provide her with appropriate psychosocial support.
Whatever anyone thinks about how she addressed @TonyOElumelu, no young employee or trainee should be left alone to absorb the psychological consequences of suddenly becoming the target of a massive public controversy.
She should not be sacrificed on the altar of corporate hierarchy or social-media outrage. Her dignity, welfare and mental well-being must come first. Let the poor breathe!
Let's leave social media, where everyone can say the gabs in their mouths.
Left for me, I can't come in contact with People and start calling them by their Names.
At least show some Respect by adding "Mr"
Even where I teach, I ask students to address me as "Mr"
Respect Elders
I don't think there's need for comparing Tinubu and Nebuchadnezzar.
Nebuchadnezzar was a better policy maker & has the interest of his people than Tinubu.
The only challenge was that he wants them to worship a God they can See and not Unseen being.
When you marry a young lady at her early prime (19-25), she'll think that getting married to a man is an easy thing because at that time, she has not really experienced heartbreak and isn't desperate.
So she'll not take her marriage seriously, and most of her friends or mates are still single, no kids and are "balling".
When you marry a lady in her late prime (26-35), she'll do all she can to make that marriage work because she has experienced certain things and knows how difficult it's to win a man's commitment.
And she had already enjoyed her youth and now feels that it's time to settle down. Her mates are also getting married, and she's experiencing both family and societal pressure.
And she'll hardly cheat in marriage unlike the under 25s. And she'll not punish her husband by cheating back because he cheated.
She'll also not have too many friends anymore and most likely will be no longer a student but a worker who understands the value of money.
Before she does things, she'll be very calculating and will have more concern for her reputation to protect.
You can never downplay the impact that age and experience have in marriage when it comes to women.
The prefrontal cortex is not fully mature until after age 25, and it continues to solidify until the age of 32.
The prefrontal cortex is the part of the brain that controls decision making and thinking.
End.

Armed police and soldiers on Wednesday blocked retired military personnel from converging in front of the Ministry of Defence in Abuja, where the ex-servicemen had gathered to protest the non-implementation of consequential adjustments to their pensions.
The protesters had attempted to move towards the front of the ministry as part of their planned demonstration, but more security personnel were mobilised to prevent them from assembling at the location.
The development followed an earlier confrontation between serving soldiers and the retired military personnel after security operatives attempted to stop the ex-servicemen from staging their protest in front of the ministry.

But why is he requesting for Invitation Card.
I taught signing the peace accord is for all Party Presidential candidates.
Is there something fishy they're not telling us?
โI donโt have any invitation. Iโm a presidential candidate, but why didnโt you ask those convoys that just passed? Every presidential candidate are the same"
โ AAC presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, questions security personnel at the National Peace Accord in Abuja today.
Well thank FCCPC for bringing this matter public because it has linger.
In fact, this looks like "Terms And Conditions"
I just hope this your investigation doesn't take a whole 8 years.
Release - Cement FCCPC Establishes Possible Price Manipulation
Tuesday, August 18, 2026: Findings from an industry-wide investigation conducted by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) suggest possible manipulation of prices of cement in the Nigerian market.
This is the preliminary summation of the 40-page field reports collated following a three-month cross-border study by the Anticompetitive Practices Department (ACP) of the Commission, undertaken in response to widespread public complaints over the high cost of cement, a common staple in the country's construction industry.
Concerns were raised over the comparatively high retail price of cement in Nigeria compared with other markets, despite the country's substantial limestone deposits, significant domestic production capacity and reported surplus installed capacity relative to domestic consumption.
Significantly, all the major cement manufacturers in the country cooperated with the Commission by making their records available except one of them.
Publicly available estimates indicate that three major undertakings account for more than 90 percent of installed production capacity in the country.
The ACP investigations extended to markets in Sub-Saharan Africa like Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa as well as Egypt, Morocco and Algeria.
Metrics adopted included the availability of limestone, the basic raw material for cement production, as well as other variables such as population, production capacity and consumption.
In Kenya, for instance, the 58.6 million population (76% lower than Nigeriaโs) has domestic cement demand of approximately 9.3m MTPA (metric tonne per annum) in 2025. Retail price in Nairobi is $5.40 (N7,344). Kenya is endowed with limestone.
In Tanzania, with population of 66.3m (72% lower than Nigeriaโs) and the domestic cement demand is 9.3m MTPA (2025), a bag of cement sells for $4.80 (N6,528).
In Togo, a bag sells for $6.75 (N9,180). Significantly, Togo does not have limestone deposit.
Comparatively, in Nigeria, market intelligence reviewed by the Commission shows that the retail price of a 50kg bag of cement rose significantly during the first half of 2026.
A bag reportedly selling for between N9,300 and N9,700 in January was selling for between N10,500 and N13,000 by mid-year. By July, prices of between N13,000 and N15,000 were reported in some parts of the country.
The Commission's survey indicates that Nigeria has installed cement production capacity of more than 60 to 65 million metric tonnes annually, while estimated domestic consumption is approximately 25 to 30 million metric tonnes. Nigeria is also a net exporter of cement to neighbouring markets.
Of particular concern to the Commission is that this level of production capacity has not resulted in the downward pressure on domestic prices that might ordinarily be expected in a competitive market with substantial excess capacity.
Information provided by industry participants has identified energy costs, depreciation of the Naira and its effect on imported machinery and spare parts, as well as transportation and logistics costs, among the factors contributing to cement prices. The Commission is testing these explanations against verified information on costs, production, pricing and market conditions.
However, the weight of preliminary findings provides sufficient grounds for the investigation to continue.
Next is to determine whether prevailing cement prices can be explained by legitimate costs and market conditions, or whether there is evidence of coordinated conduct, abuse of market power, restriction of domestic supply, anti-competitive distribution practices or other conduct contrary to the provisions of the FCCPA.
Accordingly, the FCCPC has issued Notices of Commencement of Investigation and Summons to Produce to the key players in the sector...
