After 2019, it felt like the #Dodgers might never get over the hump.
7 straight division titles.
Back-to-back World Series losses.
106 wins... and an NLDS upset.
Then Mookie Betts showed up.
And I think Dodgers fans have forgotten just how much he changed this franchise….
This reminds me of the last crate of eggs we had in the house. Two out of every three were bad. There was a time I broke four eggs into a plate and the fifth one was bad. Don't get me started about the smelllll!!!! Anytime I enter the kitchen I'm reminded of the stench.
Anytime I see Indomie these days, I remember one of my most painful university experiences.
It was end of semester, and my roommate and I were doing 0 - 0 - 1 because we were seriously broke. We managed to contribute money and cooked one serious pot of Indomie that was supposed to last till the next day.
We had already arranged our plates. In fact, we were so hungry we couldn’t even wait to take it upstairs. We wanted to eat it right there in the kitchen.
That’s when our friend, Promise, remembered that his mum had brought eggs for him the previous month.
We told him to go and bring them so we could make the Indomie richer.
Guy, the moment we cracked the egg, the whole kitchen stank so bad. The smell was so horrible people started shouting at us. The egg was pure black.
I don’t think I’ve experienced many heartbreaks in my life that were as painful as that moment. Tears literally came to our eyes. Hunger and heartbreak together.
Till today, we laugh whenever we talk about it, but I promise you, it was not funny then.
I can never forget that Indomie moment. 😭😂
