@yeolemillennial@CaptainGomesTV@x103p It’s a celebration of the challenges the community overcame. It’s a recognition that LGBT people had to fight for their rights as people. Yes it started as a protest. But now it’s more about genuine celebration.
@salalabala@CaptainGomesTV@x103p Yes. Pride Month was started as a protest. But it’s less about protesting now and is genuinely about celebrating the achievements they’ve made.
@Shlorp_YT@CaptainGomesTV@x103p No it absolutely was. Pride Month began as a protest. That’s why Pride still exists. And the fact people still feel the need to make gay people’s lives political, prove that it’s still necessary.
@Epicazeroth@GirlAckerboss@RachaelEWrites It’s actually pretty accurate to real life. Common folk during the Middle Ages were far less loyal to the king than many expect. Most were completely out of the loop, and so when things started to get hard, they blamed the people at the top. Even if they didn’t know the truth.
@FowlesMurphy@curtisfair@RealAlbanianPat Oh no, immigration. Grow the fuck up. You ancestors weren’t born here, hell they probably aren’t even related to the original colonists. So fuck off.
@AleSh09758566@AndrsVi35994458@diaper@nicksortor Whereas the entirety of the south, the entirety of the Midwest, are all gerrymandered to hell, and have been for DECADES. There’s not one Republican state that isn’t gerrymandered.
@AleSh09758566@AndrsVi35994458@diaper@nicksortor It’s not actually. 2 states have 1 seat only. 2 states have competitive seats. Rhode Island only has 2. MA was passed bipartisan and signed by a Republican governor. And Connecticut could draw a lean seat, but it wouldn’t stay long.
@AleSh09758566@diaper@nicksortor Wdym they’ve done it ‘way longer’. They’ve both done it, and they’ve always done it. Where are you getting this fuckass logic?
