At Simms Cross the children really enjoy our after school clubs. Some of the year 3 and 4 children have enjoyed cooking club. We made a lovely pasta and tomato dish and also made fresh garlic bread. The results were delicious. #SimmsExtraCurricular

This afternoon we have been litter picking in our local area. This was done in conjunction with Halton Borough Council. The children were so pleased to contribute to improving our environment. In total the children across school collected 13 sacks of rubbish.#SimmsCrossPHSE

In maths we are subtracting. We are learning to exchange a ten into ones to help us solve the calculation. #SimmsCrossMaths

In ICT we have been looking at the history of computing. We used I-pads to research key events and people. We found out about Ada Lovelace, Alan Turing and Bill Gates plus lots more. #SimmsCrossICT

In English we have been reading the story of The Night Gardener. We used the text to inspire our own Setting Narratives. #SimmsCrossEnglish
