Yes. They are men at that age. Go see a football, Soccer, futsal, basketball match with sub-17 and you'll be amazed on the size and stregth of them.
My almost 13 year old son is already bigger than us, probably stronger than me, goes to the gym alone (Nice perks of living in a small town on the coast of Portugal), pumps weights for almost two hours, plays futsal, pumps my racing bike and does many other sports.
You just can't hold back this kid.
Just trying to be a lovely but firm father and pray God to protect him as God protected me during my totally crazy 13-17 year old phase.
