CND is happy to have signed this letter to the outgoing PM over the government's military spending hikes. £5 billion of spending outlined in Tuesday's Defence Investment Plan remains unfunded, threatening even more cuts to public services. We need investment in #PeopleNotNukes!

After losing her law firm job for publicly criticizing Israel, Melat Kiros refused to back down.
Now she's a 29 year old immigrant, former barista, and democratic socialist who just unseated a 15 term incumbent to win a seat in Congress.

We mourn the loss of the wonderful @BernaMeaden, a long-time and hugely valued Ekklesia associate. But we also remember her with immense gratitude. Love and prayers to Jim, Bernadette’s family, and all to whom she was special.
For her many friends on this platform, the funeral of @BernaMeaden will begin at 11am tomorrow morning. The quiet and grateful moments in our hearts, wherever we may be, will reach the grieving.
