Two Emmys. Hugely happy.

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

@GailRenard I wrote for him years ago on a BBC Choice show. Lovely bloke. Clearly an exemplary journalist, but could also sell a gag.

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

25, maybe 30 swifts overhead tonight. I Iove ‘em.

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

A fantastic talent. https://t.co/zHRCqOuzF6

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

@UnpaidNotDead Yes indeed, use it all the time on dog walks. Heard a nightingale yesterday as well as all our usuals.

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

Swifts are here!

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

Impossibly cool. They arrive like GIs in 1942.

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

@prodnose All the best.

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

@prodnose Hello Dan.

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

I’m barely on the social mediums these days but just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and the finest and dandiest of new years.

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

@djturner Happy birthday Donna! Hope you’re having a wonderful day xxx

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

@exitthelemming Much love to you and the family Sam x

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

@brinatello I’m very sorry for your loss. Glad you can both be there for your dad.

Jo was a gifted actor and such a kind and generous soul. When she knew her character in Breeders was based on my late mum she went out of her way to get her Battersea accent pitch perfect. Gone far too soon, she’ll be much missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her.

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

@johnbC74 Absolutely. My mum did it every time she was at our house and it drove my wife up the wall.

20 years ago THIS VERY NIGHT since the first episode of The Thick Of It went out.

Back, the sitcom @RealDMitchell, @arobertwebb and I made a few years ago, is now on Netflix.

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

@NiceRamble I wrote 4 episodes. Would have done a fifth in the final series but I was contracted elsewhere. Very much enjoyed it.

[Simon Blackwell @simonblackwell]

Swifts are here, madly early.
