Just in case you were wondering what to do with that strange looking thing called a Platypus! #forsteruk #platypusdryingrack #believeinfilm #largeformatphotography

[Simon Forster @SimonFor]

@Jpncamerahunter There's always the opportunity to reset. Talk to a real friend, there's always a way.

Do you dream of date imprinting?

"A databack to imprint the date on the picture is a standard feature today. The Canodate E pioneered this feature and realized the dreams of users". Well, that's what the Canon museum says about the Canodate.

@Ffordesphoto Perish the thought! No, I would dare to hijack one of your ads by directing people to https://t.co/xzuAP2GCNM where they can find the largest range of uncommon caps in the world. Oh no!

[Simon Forster @SimonFor]

@Ffordesphoto Well, ordinarily from https://t.co/xzuAP2GCNM

However, The petal hood on that particular lens causes havoc with my flexible caps, and alas, it has defeated me :(

Buick Super. I managed to get the image straight on the darkroom easel! I now need to learn to get it centred... Contax 645, 45/2.8 Ilford HP5, IlfotecHC #believeinfilm

Lo-lo-lo-la Lola! A darkroom print using ancient Ilford Multigrade paper. The photo was taken at Oulton Park using a Contax 645, 80mm f/2 and HP5 film developed in Ifotec HC, dilution B. I managed to get all of the image on to the paper (just) this time #Lola #believeinfilm

[Simon Forster @SimonFor]

So here is the third in my “Bad Easel” collection, a slow speed pan of a Formula 3000 car at Oulton Park. Taken at 1/60th second with an (on loan) #Contax645 with a 140mm Sonnar, #IlfordHP5 printed on ancient #ilford paper.

[Simon Forster @SimonFor]

One day I will learn to use an easel in the darkroom... A print I made last week of the rear end of what I think was a Ginetta at Oulton Park. The gravel and tyre marbles caught my eye when the sun lit up the rear tray (if that's the correct term). Contax 645 and 80mm f/2.

If you head back over to the @ILFORDPhoto Instagram account, they are running a giveaway for a box of sheet film with a colour coordinated Platypus drying rack! #platypusdryingrack #ilfordphoto #ForsterUK

[Simon Forster @SimonFor]

@ZDP189 Thank you Dan!

[Simon Forster @SimonFor]

Version 2 of my Platypus drying rack makes drying 4x5 sheet film and plates easier, faster and better than ever!

Drop your film in vertically, then tip the Platypus over to let the film drop at an angle for efficient damage-free negatives.

Great to get back into the darkroom after a while and bonus points for making a print that was worth printing! Maserati Birdcage interior taken with a #Contax645 and Ilford HP5. #Maserati #oultonpark

And what a cute thing this is! The Ricoh 500 RF is a diminutive rangefinder that feels great in the hand. This one has taken a bit of a knock so it needs some TLC. The lens cap however will keep the lens protected and stop the light meter battery from draining. #ricoh500rf

Here’s a camera with charm, the Rolleimat F. Upon first appearance it looks like a regular AF motorised point and shoot, but no, it’s a cheapo wind yourself and zone focus camera! If you have one of these pseudo premium P&S cameras, you can now protect the lens. #RolleimatF

[Simon Forster @SimonFor]

What a super looking camera! The Weltaflex TLR also has a great shutter lever which helps set it apart from the multitude of TLR cameras out there.

Now you can protect its lenses. #weltaflex #lenscap #forsteruk

The Minolta Hi-Matic E is a fine looking camera with an excellent f/1.7 which in this case is being protected by our latest lens cap! #minotla #himatic #ForsterUK
