🔵 John Major on the Brexit leaders (Cummings, Johnson, Gove, Farage):
“Michael Gove said after we leave, we will hold all the cards. The only cards they held were P45s for people who lost their jobs.”
“Owen Paterson said nobody was thinking of leaving the Single Market. Really? How extraordinary.”
“Many claimed to be devoted to Margaret Thatcher’s policies. They took us out.”
On Farage: “Primary responsibility… damaged our country very significantly.”
Unelected nobody Zia Yusuf is asked why he hasn’t stood for election and tries to avoid the question with a random rant.
In the end he refuses to deny that he has not been selected by Reform UK and Nigel Farage.

‘Not only an act of epic dishonesty, but it’s also an act of craven sycophancy.'
James O’Brien fires back at Nigel Farage’s claim that he is ‘the most hated politician in the country’.
Andy Burnham looks set to be the next Prime Minister of the UK following Keir Starmer stepping down.
This begs the most important question of all - what would this mean for Wales?
Obviously no one knows for certain but I think we are likely to see a Prime Minister who is a lot more in favour of expanding and strengthening devolution.
Mr Burnham has been known to support the principle that anything that is devolved to Scotland should also be offered to Wales.
This would mean power over rail, policing, justice and the Crown Estate coming to Cymru if the Senedd wanted it.
It would be also really interesting to see how a more pro-devolution PM would engage with Wales' Plaid First Minister Rhun ap Iorwerth.
Little bit of history made as Harry Kane, John Stones and Jordan Henderson look set to become the first England internationals to go through a change of prime minister during a major international tournament for a record breaking third time.
Senedd Members walk out of the Welsh Parliament in protest at comments made by a Reform MS.
Joe Martin MS “jokes” about Welsh kids not being able to read.
In the wider clips that we will share in the newsletter you can see some of his fellow Reform MSs laughing along while others are clearly uncomfortable.
Wales has some deep rooted problems that require seriousness, nuance and real political leadership to fix. Proper opposition is vital.
What we don’t need is the smugly delivered political equivalent to the worst best man speech you’ve ever read seen.
Today, my wife & I joined Donald Trump’s hit list. He has directed his Department of Justice to investigate us. They have not found a crime - they are simply trying to find one.
He isn't coming after me because of mean tweets, but because I am considering running for President.
He hates that I consistently call him out. He is simply the most corrupt President in American history.
We have nothing to hide.
Mr. President, come after me. I am not going anywhere.
The country is watching.
