My solution was a zero-size object in the same bucket with a . (dot) prefix to track highest count. Used AWS S3 Conditional Writes (released Aug 20, '24).

@AbsaSouthAfrica Thank you! Please also bring my concerns to the attention of your IT and Systems team. Both branches could do nothing as the systems just broke and the web page for secondary credit cards wouldn't load. Norwood branch opened an internal IT ticket a week ago, still unresolved.

@AbsaSouthAfrica your systems for enabling a secondary credit card (ie for my wife) have been offline in your own branches for at least a week. I spent an hour in Norwood branch last Monday, and an hour and a half in Sandton (!) branch today. System is just broken.
