After 33 years of largely urban ministry, I am enjoying worshipping in a village church on Exmoor that attracts a bigger percentage of the local population than any church in my old archdeaconry. Hereβs my take on why. @SimonJHill8@BathWells : https://t.co/qmNExlfLSa
Following some great workshops on generous church, the Growing Good Toolkit, growing faith with children & young people, discipleship & rural Fresh Expressions, the floor has been opened up for questions.
Great conversations taking place ahead ahead of the Rural Forum in Bagley today. Bishop Michael welcomed everyone saying, βWe look forward to a day where we are able to think, talk, discuss and pray together.β
At the Festival of Preaching this morning the lecture by @DeanSouthwark was 'Inspiring and exuded the love that a preacher should have for their congregation'.

Amazing welcome from St Francis, our next stop where the focus is praying for our community. We thank God for hospitality. And a helpful reminder from St Francis.

Moving moment. Ian has been an inspiration in leading the DBF and having a marvellous and graceful way of giving clear leadership combining vision, reality and God.
A well deserved standing ovation for DBF chair Ian Theodoreson, who has shared his intention to stand down. Our heartfelt thanks and prayers for him and to all those for whom this is their last synod.#DioSynod

Prayers for treasurers across @BathWells and in particular for those who continue in role because locally no one else seems willing to take on the role.
Over many months I have made my way through 700 pages and 500 years of Anglican writings and the quest for holiness -some familiar, some new. Finished it today. All entries serve to give an appreciation of the creative holding together of scripture, tradition and reason.
