My great uncle, he did his national service in the intel corps, was recruited at Cambridge and served our country all his life.
It's time our British security services remember all who went before them, that they serve us, our country, not Keir Starmer and his Fabian communists.
@Stefi1774 Tolls are a distraction , they just get reduced, then removed via retaliation and negotiation.
The problem’s Israel, and EU and European leaders who’ll forever allow Israel to weaponise holocaust guilt against them.
The first step should be Israel forgoing its nuclear deterrent.
@Stefi1774 ….I’m also no longer of the opinion that European, EU leaders are entirely responsible for the state of NATO and defence etc.
It suited the USA for decades to keep the EU relatively weak and dependent.
The question is should they have seen a more coercive USA admin coming?
@Stefi1774 Due to circumstances, I find it hard to detach and think, but I have done for months.
It’s not interesting, it’s fascinating, I voted for Brexit, picked a battle I couldn’t win, due to magnitude, the EU in a battle not of their choosing can win, which would change everything…..
@Stefi1774 I’m interested in discovering the likes of Vitoria, how he shaped int’l jurisprudence, rules of war, human rights.
The basis of the same laws that Trump and Israel now break.
I’m learning, how to know that I don’t know, caring and working really hard selling, with superb results.
@Stefi1774 Yeah, but our modernity is far too easy and entitled for our leaders to be able to sell a path of short term pain or privations, mainly because they’ve broken the social contract that used to bind us, in communality and commonality.
I was so wrong about Trump, and about logos.
But Trump doesn’t do truth, clarity, distinction, though there’s a certitude in his deranged delusion, that of the madman’s.
None of that matters though, he’s shown Europe’s leaders that they have but one choice to make, to go all in on a united European superpower, and time is of the essence.
The, their, and our focus should be on nothing less, we should’ve acted thus decades ago, that hindsight and the difficulties it brings to us now re security and in some respects sovereignty, should be driving our present foresight.
Trump is the enemy, but NATO has always only ever been about being a vehicle for USA foreign policy, all he’s done, is to finally provide that clarity.
“The simple step of the courageous individual is to not take part in the lie."
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn would recognize the consistent bullshit coming out of the UK’s Ministry of Defence on defence capability, defence investment and getting ready for war as LIES; and those that peddle them as nothing more than careerist con-artists.
There is no plan, no money and no leadership. Just talk, consultant-crafted sound-bites, catchy video-clips, conference speeches, dressing up for selfies, consistent, careless persecution of veterans and other nonsense. Nothing but LIES.
I do hope this changes soon, and that the right (courageous and honest) leaders are chosen to change all this. But I see very little sign of it….
@Stefi1774 That’s if he’s ever spoken truthfully about this omnishambles in the first place. It surprised me that the Iranians simply didn’t reply “Nuts”! to his unconditional surrender request, it would’ve been quite apt…
Still HMS Dragon is a thing of beauty….
The proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist org, was always going to be found as disproportionate by the High Court.
Keir Starmer knew that, if he as wasn't PM, he'd be representing PA in the Courts.
It was pure deflection, from his refusal to enforce UK law as it stands.
@Keir_Starmer If you knew what mattered most to the 80% of us British who didn't vote for you, and half of the 20% who did, you would've resigned by now.
There's nothing more that matters to the overwhelming majority of us British, than seeing the end and the back of you and your vile regime.
@DPJHodges Alas the Met Police have skin in the Mandelson scandal, and just as Keir Starmer will do anything to save his own skin, so will the Met, as we've seen repeatedly.
It's time for the Speaker and Parliament to assert their sovereignty and primacy, then we may, may get transparency.
@DPJHodges Yeah, it's called being in control of events. If Keir Starmer had any shame he'd resign, if not for our country, if not for the Labour party, but for his wife and children.
Alas his own skin is all he cares about.
"He is a moral gravity-well, from which neither decency, honesty or integrity can escape. A genuine disaster for this country and the Labour movement".
The words of a Labour MP on the duplicitous, self-serving, dead man walking coward, Keir Starmer, after McSweeney's resignation.
