Great to see Secondary Maths leaders using the GROW model for coaching to help develop each other’s department action plan. A really powerful tool to use with peers and department colleagues @NEHS_MathsHub
I love this! So simple and it shines a light on such a clear point. Quickly addresses misconceptions and difficulties that come up before the students start practising #variation
Maths is a language and yet I often here that literacy CPD isn’t relevant. There is so much literacy in Maths. It’s also far easier to say a solution is like a paragraph, you wouldn’t miss out lines 2, 5 and 7, than it is to keep saying show full workings because I told you so.
Great buzz in the room as @JaneMcN42305942 used #NCETMCheckpoints as a start point for how Secondary TAs could support their students in KS3 Maths during an @NEHS_MathsHub workshop. Start with 2 digits, generalise conclusion, move on to 3 digits generalise again etc

Finally got through to @HotpointUK, still no end date for when the repair would be done. I got offered a £30 voucher. When I said that wasn’t good enough considering all the inconvenience, I got told I could seek independent legal advice if I wanted! SHOCKING! @HotpointUK
@HotpointUK service saying that you are too busy. I’ve tried using your WhatsApp service, your Facebook messenger service and had absolutely no response! We are without a washing machine and this is appalling service!
@HotpointUK our 3 hour window with no call or new appointment. My wife and I are teachers and have had to organise people to be at home each time. I’ve tried calling 5 times, each time the website says less than 5 minute wait and each time I have been hung up on by an automated
@HotpointUK this is what you consider acceptable service? Weeks ago we booked for our washing machine 2 be fixed. 1 appointment moved with no call. 3 appointments repair visits abandon or cancelled because the right part wasn’t there. Last appointment was cancelled 2 hour into
