When we were making Movin’ With Nancy, I knew I wanted each song to tell its own story, each independent of the other, essentially music videos before music videos.
“Some Velvet Morning” is one of the most haunting and visually striking segments in the special. Hear how it came together through archival audio of director Jack Haley, Jr. and me reflecting on its creation.
Nearly 60 years later, “Some Velvet Morning” is still as mysterious and hypnotic as ever. I love that people continue to discover the song and try to determine its meaning. Maybe one day they’ll figure it out and share it with me, because I still don’t know what the hell it’s about! 😜

@henrywinter 🥱 like most modern football champions a boring team who won it because they had more money than most of their rivals and got more than their fair share of decisions
@steveg137 Funny lot Evertonians - no doubt Seamus is a hero but the poor performances and dissatisfaction with the club played a part. We’ve always been the same - often no atmosphere and then once in a while when it all comes together it’s incredible- Sunday not one of those days
Wasting time at home against Burnley to win the league 🥱 and as usual big decisions go for the slimy six - Havertz should have been sent off here - nailed on red if it was a Burnley player
@steveg137 Poor all round - terrible results after beating Chelsea, no comms from club about tribute - feel sorry for Seamus and the fans - 30 odd years of failure does that to you
@AndyBurnhamGM Working class people want the good things in life too not just the worthwhile but worthy stuff that middle class Labour politicians have fixated on for too long. Please appeal to aspitationin the way Tories have for years. And tell business well off workers is good for business!
