Turning the Devils Hole water table record into a record of recharge. It has implications for groundwater availability under a changing climate - for the arid Nevada desert - but I would also be very delighted to see this approach turning out useful for other water table records.
Water-table changes in the southern Great Basin, USA, over the last 350,000 years are 3-4 times as sensitive to recharge changes during drier interglacial than wetter glacial conditions.

Great to meet so many brilliant people from the same institution and completely different fields!
Sad this experience has come to an end.

Thanks for all the feedback I have received so far!:)
I am happy to share some of our model work connecting groundwater table at Devils Hole and local recharge at #AGU2021 today (session PP43B).
Another step towards quantifying the threat of climate change for humans and endemic pupfish.
Feedback is welcome!

Caves are awe-inspiring, but it can be difficult to capture their magnificence in photos. Here, pro cave photographer Robbie Shone shows you how. https://t.co/ybpsJ1d04L

I am proud to be part of the great team that has produced the first global assessment of noble gas paleotemperatures from the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) to the present. Our analysis reveals nearly 6°C LGM continental cooling in low to mid latitudes. (1/5)
