Delivering on local issues, no matter how big or small.
After being contacted about a long-standing issue at The Coach House, Restaurant61, Dexters Bar & Grill, Outdoor Terrace in Humberston, I was surprised to learn that the owners who live above the premises had never been provided with wheely bins for their residential property.
I felt it was important to get this sorted quickly and, after raising the matter with council officers, I'm pleased to confirm that the bins have now been delivered.
The Coach House is at the heart of our community, and ensuring residents receive the basic services they're entitled to is something I'll always take seriously.
Another local issue resolved. If there's something affecting you or your neighbourhood, please get in touch. ππ‘β»οΈ

π¨ BIG NEWS
A Reform UK Government will raise the VAT registration threshold from Β£90,000 to Β£150,000.
For too long, small businesses have been punished for growing. This change would help sole traders, tradespeople, start-ups and entrepreneurs keep more of what they earn and focus on expanding their businesses.
Backing those who take risks, create jobs and drive our economy forward.

Today, on the anniversary of D-Day, we remember the courage, sacrifice and determination of all those who took part in the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944.
We pay tribute to the servicemen and women who fought to liberate Europe, those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the families who supported them through the hardships of war.
Here in North East Lincolnshire, we are proud of our long tradition of service. Many local men and women answered the call of duty during the Second World War, and we remember their contribution alongside all those who served our nation.
The freedoms and democracy we enjoy today were secured at a tremendous cost. As the number of surviving veterans grows ever smaller, it is more important than ever that we honour their legacy and ensure their stories are never forgotten.
Lest we forget.

Reform GAIN from Conservative - whose vote collapsed again!
Spent today at Grimsby Town Hall undertaking training on planning, enforcement and highways.
There's always more to learn in local government, and these sessions are invaluable in helping councillors understand the legal frameworks, responsibilities and challenges involved in delivering services and supporting residents.
A worthwhile and informative day.

This evening I attended the Humberston Parish Council meeting, where I received a very warm welcome from councillors and residents alike.
The main item on the agenda was the planning application relating to the proposed change of use at Anthony's Bank car park. It was useful to hear the views and concerns raised during the discussion and to see local democracy in action at parish level.
I would like to thank Humberston Parish Council for their hospitality and I look forward to working alongside parish councillors on the issues that matter most to our communities.
Engagement with local councils and residents is an important part of understanding local priorities, and I look forward to attending future meetings and continuing those conversations.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend and contribute this evening. Your local knowledge, experience and passion for Humberston are invaluable.

One of the most valuable parts of door-knocking and speaking with residents over the past few months has been hearing directly about the issues affecting people's daily lives.
Across the ward, concerns have been raised about street lighting, potholes, anti-social behaviour, overgrown trees and vegetation, and other local environmental matters.
I'm working through the issues that have been brought to my attention and looking at the best ways to move them forward.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to stop and chat. Those conversations don't end on election day.

Reform in action
Our street cleansing crews work their socks off, but on busy days demand can outstrip capacity. You asked, we delivered: 15 extra 240L bins and one extra 1100L bin. This is all in addition to the bins already down there.
Thanks to @NELCouncil these small things make a huge difference ππ»
