@Beany_1 @rlmumford Actually Liam Byrne admitted the fact in his candid article in the guardian. He was putting together a program of £32bn of cuts, as set out in the Labour 2010 manifesto, as an attempt to cut the deficit when they got booted out of office.
I’m afraid austerity was Labour’s idea.
