Welp, my contract ended! (Make sure to check out @HookedByBHVR when it comes out ๐) Now Iโm back to work on my game!! Iโll be posting daily updates on its development, super excited to share more than just screenshots soon! #indiedev
A collection of scattered notes can be found throughout Dust. Some are long lost journals from centuries past, while others are simple reminders taped to a door.
While making Dust, a big challenge was finding a way to tell a story within the confines of the project's scope.
We didnโt have animators, character models, or voice actors. Just some text and environment.
One way we handled this was with small, interactive, story props!
Dust has nearly 200 of these props hidden throughout the game. Some hold large significance to the story, others explore the personality of the characters, and sometimes they simply exist to build atmosphere.
While my work on Dust is done, it'll still take a hot second for it to release on Steam. But... when it does, it'll be free!! Until then I'll be sure to post cool updates on its development!
Set in a forgotten land, Dust is a game about grief, love, and the humbling unknown of the beautiful world around us. Ruins conceal secrets and dreams border reality.
And something sleeps beneath the sands.
I meant to upload a trailer for my game, Dust, over the long weekend, but I've been fighting a losing battle against twitter video compressionโข all day so I'll post a link once its uploaded to youtube! For now here's a cool pic inside a dusty temple from my dusty game:
Heyo everyone! Its been a hot second since I posted on here - just busy with life I guess? I've been working on an indie game on & off for the past few years and recently, at long last, wrapped up my work on it! It's called Dust, and I'm very proud of it. Pics now, vid tomorrow!
