Teaching @junjiitofficial’s work is one of my dreams and the more Buddhist (or seemingly Buddhist) references I find the happier I am. Ps he has a whole story featuring monks who practice asceticism and self-mummification!!!☸️🤩 2/2
Teaching @junjiitofficial on #Halloween! We are reading Unendurable Maze and we will unpack all the Buddhist elements in the story. Very excited to tell my students about sokushinbutsu (self-mummifying monks). Is anybody else teaching creepy content on Halloween?
