Today, the Supreme Court issued a ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, undermining 50+ years of individual liberty, bodily autonomy, and gender equality rights.
We’ll be blunt – people will die because of this decision.
Let me get this straight:
The Supreme Court says states cannot decide how to regulate guns—yet only the states can decide how to regulate a woman’s body.
"Groomers are mutilating children and putting them on drugs that permanently sterilize them!"
No. They're not.
I want to take a minute to debunk two prevalent pieces of anti-trans garbage that have going around lately. /1
🥩 4 companies control 85% of the beef market
🫘 4 companies control 80% of the soy market
🍝 3 companies control 78% of the pasta market
🥣 3 companies control 72% of the cereal market
These companies hike prices with impunity—especially in uncertain times. We need competition.
NEW: Georgia Governor Brian Kemp just admitted out loud at a Republican debate that Georgia’s new voter suppression law is designed to stop Democrats from winning: “I was as frustrated as anyone else with the results. And we did something about it with Senate Bill 202.”
Roe v. Wade is based on the 'right to privacy.' If the majority opinion by SCOTUS suggests that the constitution does not protect the right to privacy... that affects a WHOLE lot of other decisions. Buckle up - this is the beginning of a lot of potential ugliness.
A thread.
Republican senators and staffers stormed out in anger as the first Black woman was confirmed to the highest court in America. Don’t ever forget what we all just saw.
