Children need to be read aloud to — and so do adults. When rich language goes in through the ear, it settles deep inside, and what settles in comes back out on the page. The best writers were first the best listeners.
And if you're dealing with dyslexia, the ear is your best ally. Never let a dyslexic child see a spelling list before they've heard it. Sound before sight — hearing the words first gives them a far better chance of holding on.
By faith we live and move and have our being in worlds not yet formed or even foreseen.
To walk by faith is not merely to inhabit the present, but to actively participate in the slow, unseen shaping of tomorrow. We are citizens of a future that hope is currently drafting. Imagination is the first step of that architecture.
What are you building today that you cannot yet see?

Matthew 14:22-32 'Walking In Impossible Places' - " I am grateful that we are a people that survived impossible - slavery ... Jim Crow ... mass encarceration ... You are the product of God doing the POSSIBLE in IMPOSSIBLE situations. " ~ @williefrancois3@SimoneGEdwards@RenaldoPearson
It’s here. Finally.
My new book just dropped: Jesus Imagination: Maker, Mender, Minder, Master. The first book ever devoted to the imagination of Jesus.
Jesus wasn’t just a teacher—
he was an artisan.
A storyteller.
A world-reimaginer.
In an age of AI and algorithms, imagination isn’t optional. It’s Kingdom currency.

57 years ago today, Shirley Chisholm became the 1st Black woman sworn into Congress.
Shirley was never scared to stand up for what she believed in and fought tirelessly to ensure everyone could participate in our democracy.
Let’s honor Shirley’s legacy by continuing her fight.
January 15, 1968. Daddy celebrating his 39th birthday…the last one he would celebrate before he was assassinated on April 4th of that same year.
Not a long life. But it was a large life.
Thank you for commemorating him today. Let’s move forward to challenge and conquer hate, inhumanity, and injustice, and to, as he said, “make of this old world a new world.”

Congratulations, @GovSherrillNJ!
This is a truly historic and joyous day for New Jersey.
Mikie has done it all. Like a true Naval aviator, she has navigated the chaos of Congress with grit and grace. She has devoted her life to serving our country.
And with her and Dale, New Jersey is in extraordinarily capable hands.
This job is not easy, but it is the journey of a lifetime. Because to lead our state is to love it.
Dr. Gladys West, the Black mathematician whose brilliance made GPS possible, has passed at 95. Born on a Dinwiddie County farm during the Great Depression, she overcame segregation to become a scientist and map the world—literally. May we never forget her legacy or the path she paved for generations of mathematicians.
