President Trump is signaling he may simply withdraw Todd Blanche’s formal nomination for Attorney General rather than keep fighting Sens. John Cornyn and Thom Tillis.

The two senators are still demanding written guarantees on the anti-weaponization fund and the Trump family’s IRS settlement terms.

Trump’s message: He has “no objection” to pulling the nomination and waiting until Cornyn and Tillis are out of office.

Because Blanche is already serving as Acting Attorney General, there is no statutory clock forcing a quick decision. He can continue in the role.

The confirmation fight may just be postponed until the two holdouts are gone.
