Blocking access to the CITY’S
Land and public access. The servitude lane also allows us access to the mountainous side of our property! We have for nearly one year now not had access. I’m addition, there is a huge amount of city resources being wasted!
COCT water and sanitation departed have in the last few months been to sort out a drain problem about 30 TIMEs (reported by new property owner) only to have to leave as the gate is locked and they cannot do their work.
I would like to know why this property owner is getting priority assistance from city and our compliant has gone unaddressed for nearly a full year. It seems to be that if you have connections in the city, they will be at your beck and call and will also turn a blind eye to an illegal structure which is causing so many problems! COCT, are friends, ex colleagues or other connections getting favouritism? I would like to know, as we clearly are being sideline for wanting the law enforced, while the other property owner has the city crew tending to her needs weekly! Often not being able to do work as no access is given. We have two huge city trucks parked on the road during that time blocking the very busy main road. An accident is bound to happen with buses and coaches crossing into opposite lane to pass. We need this gate removed!
