I write this with heaviness in my heart.

I wish I had the right words to ease the heavy pain we are passing through as a nation. The insecurity that keeps threatening lives every day. I know how crushing it feels, the fears, the exhaustion, the worries; they are all valid. We don’t have to pretend to be strong right now.

But in the midst of all, I want you to know this:

That even in this darkness, I wish you joy unending.

Not the loud, surface kind that ignores the situation. I’m talking about a quiet, stubborn joy that refuses to let the pain have the final word.

A joy that will give us courage to take back our nation, a joy that sits with us in the silence, and still whispers that our nation shall be whole again.

A joy that will give us calmness and the wisdom to know the right leadership to elect.

May this unending joy meet you exactly where you are, in the fear, in the uncertainty. May it heal what can be healed, strengthen what feels weak, and carry you through until this whole thing becomes history.

I am wishing you joy unending, the kind that survives storms and still shines.
