2020 was not "Woke 1.0".

Woke 1.0 was 2015-2017. Back then we had hysterics about,

"Mansplaining, manspreading, safe spaces, trigger warnings, MRA's, sexist air conditioning, college rape culture, the patriarchy".

There were prominent Hastings and slogans like,

#Killallwhitemen, #shoutyourabortion and "Slut walks" became a staple of the feminist movement. All of this was enforced by SJWs the original "Wokies"

The "Me too" movement began and so did the era of men having their lives destroyed by baseless accusations.

There were hoaxes that despite all being false, took over popular discourse around issues like sexual assault, police violence and video games such as,

Gamergate
Duke Lacrosse
UVA Rape hoax
Hands up don't shoot
Mattress Girl.

The wage gap myth was as was a constantly brought up and a ubiquitous topic in every discussion around relations between the sexes.

Centre right figures were consistently denied from speaking at Universities because of constant death and bomb threats. Berkeley students even started a riot and burned down parts of their college to stop @Nero doing a speech.

Trump supporters were regularly brutalised and assaulted with total impunity.

The great migration of asylum scammers from Africa and the Middle East began with Germany alone getting 2 million migrants in a 12 month period. The media of course portrayed this as a wonderful developedment and constantly demonised the countries who enforced their borders like Poland and Hungary. (Look how that turned out!)

Then, to cap off this era the mass banning of right wing figures off the internet in 2017 with people like @RealAlexJones @StefanMolyneux @nero @Gavin_McInnes @Sargon_of_Akkad @TRobinsonNewEra and many more being purged from social media like Twitter, Facebook, instagram, YouTube and reddit ( yes, reddit used to have many right wing sections with
r/thedonald cited as a primary meeting point for Trump fans and a key factor in getting him elected)

The reason I'm taking this little trip down memory lane isn't just because the branding of the 2020s as "Woke 1.0" is incorrect. It's because despite all of these massive cultural movements between 2015-2017 being lost and effectively memory holed by the very people that supported them, they don't regret or disavow any of their actions or beliefs. In fact they became more radical, the only difference is many of the same people gained institutional power and created a new more effective movement that took form in 2020.

They lost all the arguments, there was a million "SJWs OWNED BY FACT AND LOGIC" edits and the term SJW went from a mark of pride to a label of shame. But none of that mattered. The right took the applause, while the left took power. And now we have them trying to do the same thing again, publicly distancing themselves from all of the battles they lost while privately getting more and more extreme.

Lessons must be learned from past failures. In a time of fundamentally divided societies all over the Western world there is no middle ground, there is no meeting halfway with people who want you gone. It's either rule or be ruled.
