@GameMinimalist Speaking from a few years of experience at SPIEL Essen, I can attest to the value of branded clothing. It it saves a lot of time and talking in a crowded and loud environment to have your brand on your chest (and back). The elevator pitch is better when focused on content. :-)
@boardgamingmama I feel imposter syndrome just by reading your tweet. What you are achieving is already very very impressive, anything more is just a bonus dot over the icing on the cake.
@boardgamesjames On top of all the financial and professional reasons for not becoming a teacher, there's also the fact that most people prefer a job where they won't risk getting shot.
@gengelstein I have more experience with modern board games, but I am intimidated by complex games like the Brass games, and didn't consider backing them on KS. Recently I was at ArCon in Oslo where somebody offered to teach Brass: Birmingham. It went very well, I learned and we had fun.
@tim_virnig This is why name badges are so important. And why it's important to wear them in a clearly visible manner, otherwise the discreet glance will be rather conspicuous. And ladies, place it where you'd like others to look ๐

@playnyctophobia That would be the OceanGate-gate, if there is one. I haven't seen a scandal yet, just a company that was operating under less than stringent directives, and eventually it ended with tragedy rather than another close call. This is business as usual in many industries.
@sewistwrites I didn't put that many in my son's room when he was little, but I did position the stars to form the Ursus Minor, Canis Major and Orion constellations. I also placed all the planets with correct relative distances to the Sun, to a scale of "Sun and Neptune in opposite corners".
@PonchoRebound Given that semi automated game actions on BGA implement game rules, you actually DO "know" those rules somewhat when you "click where you can".
If you came in second by clicking where you could in a game on Tabletopia or TTS, then I'd be more worried about that game's design.
If you've designed a game that you want to get in front of a reviewer, and you are from an underrepresented group in the industry please hit me up. I can play on TTS etc.
Pls share.
