There's something irritating about people trying to explain away Killua's attachment to Gon while simultaneously denying that he's in love with him with comments like, "Killua only acts this way toward Gon because Gon was his first friend." It almost feels as though that completely diminishes everything Gon did to earn Killua's trust and affection. What's even worse is that this line of reasoning portrays Killua as someone who would have become just as attached to anyone who showed him even the slightest bit of kindness or happened to be his first friend - and that's simply not true.
