After years in the German community, I’m taking my journey global. 🌍
My mission: Uncovering the deep lore of @MarathonTheGame for the casual runner. If you have a busy life but a high curiosity for @Bungie’s worlds—this is for me and you.
Streamer TheBurntPeanut says he enjoyed playing Marathon early on stream, despite a lot of his chat vocally being against it
“I actually enjoyed it ... I know you're going to say, 'Oh it's an ad', I had a good time, f#*k you”
@Dexerto Gotta hand it to Bungie's PR team: Bringing a long-time vocal critic like TheBurntPeanut into the inner circle is a masterclass in 'Keep your enemies closer.' It shows they're confident enough in the current Marathon build to let a former hater stress-test it live with Joe
Called dead last year, but 2026 has been a different story. @Bungie 's fantastic work on #marathonthegame has brought a massive boost to my German niche community. So hyped for what's next! 🚀
How is the Marathon hype holding up in your region? Let me know!
@Riftwalkergame@LuclinFTW I know it might be a bit early to ask, but are you planning a PlayStation release? That’s my platform of choice and I’d love to dive in there!
Exactly, the lore is their biggest asset. People have been obsessed with the Marathon universe since the 90s and have kept the story archives alive for decades. If Bungie leans into that deep narrative heritage, they could create something truly unparalleled in the genre.
I think Marathon is going to put itself in a really unique position with the emphasis on lore and story in an extraction shooter, on top of excellent gunplay and PvP. I don’t know what the future holds but Marathon has a real good chance of being something truly special
Zeit für die #PlayersChoice Abstimmung 🥰
Welches neue PlayStation-Spiel hat euch im Januar am besten gefallen?
Stimmt jetzt ab! ⭐ https://t.co/Qcj7xmtOju
0 for 20 here too. I wonder if there’s even a single playtester outside the US right now. Seems very US-centric so far. or maybe it's just germany that's excluded lol
If we're judging value like that, I need a refund for the last few Black Ops. $40 for a polished Bungie game seems like a steal compared to the yearly $70 'copy-paste' titles.
competing in extraction shooter market is very tough considering there's such bangers like EFT & ARC Raiders but Marathon to me doesn't look like a game that worth 40$ but 20$ instead? I'm afraid the 40$ paywall will play a significant role on Marathon success
from this clip, the world looks beautiful but guns.. oh my, I can't be the only one who just doesn't fw the gun design, I'm curious to see how Marathon is going be on release, as a non-extraction shooter fan, I hope those who's tired of EFT & ARC Raiders can main this game instead

IT’S LIVE! 🚨
As a dad with a full-time job, I don't have 40 hours a week to grind. I asked: Is Marathon actually worth our limited time?

Prediction: The "Rook" Shell will be the MVP for casuals. 🛡️
In a world of "Assassin" sweats, survival is the only stat that matters for a successful extract. High stability, lower risk.
Thoughts on the Shell system? 🐚
