As a child, I used to be afraid of thunderstorms. I would wake up in the middle of the night and my older brother would tell me a funny story to help soothe me. He believed in me and encouraged me to apply to colleges out of state. My brother is a caring and protective brother.💛

I think that God knew I would need an older brother to look after me. I think that He also knew my brother would need a younger sister to offer love and kindness and to be a sweet support.

I remember as a child that the paint on the walls of my room started to chip. One day, my mom decided to paint my whole room in my favorite color, which was turquoise at the time. That gesture filled my heart with happiness as a kid. My mom is a sweet and loving mom.💛
