Totally agree, unacceptable for staff to have to deal with aggressive and abusive patients. Respect Us campaign in NHS Grampian was rolled out end of last year in mental health and started in Acute. Treat people the way you would expect to be treated with dignity and respect!!
Lockdown restrictions eased on Friday. On Saturday I was verbally and physically assaulted twice by patients under the influence of alcohol. This wasn’t acceptable pre-COVID, it definitely isn’t acceptable now.
Fantastic acknowledgement to a very hard working and dedicated team. Pulled their sleeves up and worked their socks off to make sure that staff were trained in safe patient handling. Have to say a massive thanks to everyone that came to help us out!! Great job, very proud!!
