Just a reminder that communities, families, friends, relationships, ect should all be having uncomfortable conversations. This is hard but healthy and necessary for individuals and communities alike. Very proud of my friends willing to dig deep and have tough conversations.
I’d like to think that I’ve had something to do with my teams winning the spirit award. It’s something I am really proud of, but it’s also a painful reminder of all of myself that I give to my teams without receiving the same level of care back.

I’m often scared to share my experiences publicly because I don’t want people to give grief to the parties
I’m tired of being the only black person on my teams. I’m tired of being the only one talking about equity. I’m tired of others being silent. And most of all I’m tired of not having my needs met.
