@TNSteeplechase nailed it! Mother nature cooperated and hospitality was G1! @Sims_Racing_ had Copper Missile shining like a new penny and fit as a fiddle for his jump debut as he won best turned out in the 2nd! Ran 5th in tough company and(I and Copper)gained valuable experience!
A fun day of racing @TNSteeplechase!!! Both Really Good (3rd) and Copper Missile (5th) ran great. We learned a lot! The team is already gearing up for next year! @e17wds@hardknocks6369@Miketu72
Mario Gutierrez takes the finale at @keenelandracing with Miss Pharoah. Matt Sims with a great job of having this promising filly ready for her 4yo debut.
@Keri145 Thank you! We learned a lot on Saturday for our first go! I wish I could have been there. Congratulations on your wins, all your horses ran well!
I don’t bring up the times that we finish in defeat, but this is a different circumstance! Really Good finishing 2nd in his steeplechase debut and showed what the team can do for a horse in just a few weeks. So proud of every groom, hotwalker, and exercise rider. The team from Keeneland and Aiken Farm worked so hard to get Really Good ready! Mike Tudor picked this guy from the claim box and we had a vision for the future! Gus Dahl couldn’t be more proud/happy for the road he’s come! Hopefully a victory is soon to be celebrated but we will enjoy the journey! #middleburgphoto
Congratulations to the TEAM @hardknocks6369@Sims_Racing_ and Aiken Farm! Thank you @keenelandracing for rolling out the red carpet and providing an unforgettable experience! So proud of our feisty filly!!
Small stables have to adapt and be creative to find ways to the winners circle! Very grateful for my team, owners and family that support my ideas! This project definitely brought so many great minds together!
“We kind of fell into using jumping as a tool for cross-training, and now it’s turned into these horses can run on the flats and over the jumps.”

@CoachGoodrich@hardknocks6369 I like doing it to keep their minds thinking. Specially older horses. Copper has been around a circle a lot. Horses get bored doing the same thing every day.
