i'm so sorry but the attitude of some of the people in the sims community + the incompetency of EA as a business + the unstable bloated mechanics of this game = passion dying very very fast. I do think we should give paralives at least 2 years of free content all around

Simmers are such an isolated game community and sometimes it shows. Many simmers don't play any other games with a strong modding presence and genuinely don't get that this isn't how it normally works at all. People make whole DLCs, remake full games, as passion projects for free

EA just doesn't understand this community. If you wanted to make the marketplace a decent idea, you could've added new gameplay objects like instrument packs, appliance packs, etc. Gameplay kits could've been their cash cow if the coding team wasn't just like one guy
