Mal @BashirAhmaad , the Prophet ﷺ said: “May Allah be merciful to Moses, for he was harmed with more than this, yet he kept patient.” (Bukhari 3150)

PUBLIC NOTE
As a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I have personally submitted a formal petition against Bilkisu Umar to the appropriate authorities concerning what I believe to be a sustained and continuing pattern of personal targeting, online harassment, repeated references to me, derogatory commentary, vulgar abuse and, most recently, the extension of the dispute to my identity as a husband and father.
The material available to me documents relevant publications spanning at least August 2020 to September 2026, representing approximately six years of repeated public references to me. The attached evidence schedule contains 28 identified posts, with their respective dates and descriptions.
I want to make my position clear from the outset that I fully recognise the right of every Nigerian to criticise public officials, politicians, public personalities and other persons participating in public life. I am not asking the authorities to criminalise legitimate criticism or disagreement.
My complaint concerns the pattern, persistence, personal nature and escalation of the conduct documented in the evidence, particularly the circumstances in which my wife and family have repeatedly been introduced into commentary concerning me.
The conduct documented in my petition includes:
Repeatedly naming and referencing me on X.
Tagging my X account in publications.
Quoting or commenting on my posts.
Repeated commentary concerning my professional and political activities.
Personal criticism extending beyond discussion of my public activities.
Derogatory and insulting references to me.
Allegations and insinuations concerning my motives and professional activities.
Vulgar personal abuse directed at me.
Continued references to me over a prolonged period.
Continued engagement despite my decision to remain silent.
Continued engagement even after I expressly asked that the conduct stop.
Most recently, a direct reference to my status as a father and husband, thereby bringing my family circumstances into the exchange.
I respectfully submit that the Respondent should be given the opportunity to provide whatever lawful explanation she may have. The purpose of my petition is not to prejudge that explanation, but to ensure that the facts and evidence are properly examined by the competent authorities.
I recognise that freedom of expression is an important constitutional right and that criticism of public figures is ordinarily part of democratic discourse. Accordingly, I am not asking the authorities to investigate the Respondent merely because she disagrees with me, criticises a government, opposes a political party or expresses an unfavourable opinion about my public activities.
My request is narrower and straightforward that I ask the competent authorities to examine the cumulative conduct, including its persistence, personal nature, vulgar abuse, repeated references to my private family circumstances and the continuation of the conduct following my express request that it stop.
I respectfully leave the final legal classification of the conduct entirely to the competent investigating and prosecuting authorities after a proper examination of the evidence.
I have chosen to pursue this matter through lawful and institutional channels, rather than through retaliation or a prolonged social-media confrontation. I believe every citizen is entitled to seek the protection of the law when they believe their rights or those of their family may have been infringed.
My petition therefore asks for investigation, preservation and examination of the relevant evidence and whatever lawful action the competent authorities consider appropriate based on the facts established.
A Nigerian delivery rider in Dubai reportedly became the center of attention after someone filmed him late at night, waiting for his next order while reading the Qur’an beside his motorcycle.
What made the scene unusual was the small Qur’an box he had arranged near the front of his bike. Whenever there was a break between deliveries, he would take the Qur’an out and read.
When asked why he carried a physical Qur’an instead of simply reading from his phone, his answer was deeply moving.
He reportedly explained that he is a Hafiz of the Qur’an and regularly recites it during Ramadan. He had memorized the Qur’an through constant revision, not from a phone, and continues reading many chapters every day alongside his work so that he does not forget what he has memorized.
The video reportedly spread widely and eventually reached Dubai authorities. Claims circulating online say that he was later recognized and rewarded for his dedication and sincerity, with some posts stating that he received AED 50,000.
Whether every detail of the viral story is accurate or not, one lesson remains powerful:
Do not let your circumstances make you forget the Book of Allah.
He was waiting for a delivery order, but perhaps he was also preparing for something far greater.
May Allah preserve the Qur’an in his heart, increase him in sincerity, and bless his work and his life.
@alimi_ibraheem Wa alaikum assalaam, lafiya alhamdulillah, da fatan kowa lafiya.
Yes. Qatari reports say William Troost-Ekong recited the shahadah in Doha, and a video of the moment was shared publicly.
“Indeed, you do not guide whom you love, but Allah guides whom He wills.” Qur’an 28:56
Alhamdulillah. May Allah (SWT) keep William Troost-Ekong firm upon Islam, increase him in faith and knowledge, and make this new journey a source of immense blessings for him. Welcome to Islam, brother.

Wa alaikum assalaam, It depends on your location. If you are in Saudi Arabia, you should follow the Saudi announcements. If you're in Nigeria, you should rely on our local dates. Since these are two different countries in separate regions, the prayer times and moon appearances vary due to geographical differences.
