The Last Of The Old Sin Eaters 💀🖤
"The practice of “sin-eating” was once found in parts of our home, especially along the Welsh–English border.
A sin-eater was paid to eat bread and drink ale or wine beside the body of someone who had died without confessing their sins. The food and drink were believed to “take on” the dead person’s sins, helping their soul towards an easier passage to Heaven and reducing the risk of them returning as a troubled spirit.
Because they were thought to carry many people’s sins, sin-eaters were often avoided and viewed with suspicion. In some places, even the wooden plate used in the ritual was burned afterwards, and meeting a sin-eater’s eyes was considered bad luck.
The custom is considered ancient and was recorded in several regions, but it had largely faded out by the 19th century. One of the last known sin-eaters in England was Richard Munslow, a Shropshire farmer who lost four of his children, three of them to scarlet fever in a single week in May 1870. It is thought that this personal tragedy led him to revive the ritual, and the stone at his grave records the children he lost."
We have always been here.

Happy to hear suggestions for other designs and colour variations.
You are caught in a self centred mindset.
There is much you can do, although you will likely not see the fruits of your actions.
There is purpose and legacy here for those who understand.
The bond we share with dogs is at least 40 thousand years old and was no accident. We have hunted, endured, suffered and fought alongside them for millennia. Over that time we have developed that relationship to the point that many of our homes, particularly in Britain, feel empty without one.
The Hanged Dog is a recognition of that bond.
You have capabilities that make you valuable to those without them.
Understand that those capabilities are yours to give. That is your choice.
We feel most alive when we're using them, and so can be manipulated into using them against our own interests.
You have a responsibility to control that temptation.
Your people need you. Choose your fight.
