False/misleading: On August 25, 2020, during unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin (sparked by the police shooting of Jacob Blake), Rittenhouse shot three men—killing Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and wounding Gaige Grosskreutz.

Evidence showed Rosenbaum (unarmed) chased him and grabbed his rifle barrel. (Assault)

Huber struck him in the head with a skateboard and tried to take the rifle. (Assault and Battery/attempted murder)

Grosskreutz pointed a handgun at him. (Assault with a deadly weapon)

The men were not simply "peaceful protesters" in the moments leading to the shootings. The broader event involved protests mixed with violence and property damage, but the jury accepted the self-defense argument based on the specific confrontations.

Multiple witnesses (including Black witnesses) testified that Anthony stabbed before or during any shove/push from Metcalf—not after being beaten.
There was no beating by "several white boys and men," no knife falling on the floor, and no accidental "Metcalf fell on the knife." It was a deliberate stab to the chest.

On June 9, 2026, a jury convicted Anthony of murder after brief deliberation and rejected self-defense and "sudden passion" arguments (which could have reduced the sentence).

Anthony was suspended from school and not lawfully entitled to even be on school grounds that day.

They rejected self-defense because of provocation and disproportionate use of force.

There is no legal right to be somewhere other than your house that gives you the right to stand your ground. And that's not even relevant depending on the state.

Why don't you go to the mall and use this same logic and see what happens.

Just because you have the legal right to go to the mall, doesn't mean you have the legal right to murder someone if they push you.

The reason he did not take a stand is because he could not even fake remorse. He would have gotten 50 years to life.

The reason they did not have more witnesses is because four out of the six who were black, unequivocally stated the facts, which proved provocation and disproportionate Force in the altercation. Which makes him guilty.

Mike Howard was the same attorney that they chose before the trial. They tried to claim indigency but the $650,000 they had already received proved they had plenty of money for an attorney. They chose him.
