What #Pitt needs is someone - anyone - that would allow them to have $300M and allow them to invest it in a low risk investment that they can use towards NIL - That is what Bickell basically did with his $21M but that is not enough season after season
For fun: Rich Rodriguez (Arizona, 2016)
Record: 3-9
In his 10th season as a head coach (4th at Arizona), Rodriguez experienced a complete collapse. The Wildcats won only one conference game and finished last in the Pac-12 South, signaling the end of his tenure.
Philip Fulmer (Tennessee, 2002)
Record: 8-5
The Volunteers entered the season with high expectations but suffered a disappointing campaign marred by injuries and inconsistency. Tennessee lost to rivals Georgia, Alabama, and Florida, with some calling for Fulmer's dismissal.
Frank Beamer (Virginia Tech, 1996)
Record: 2-8-1
Though this predates 2000, Beamer's struggles during his 10th season provide context for how a legendary coach can face adversity before later success.
Mark Richt (Georgia, 2010)
Record: 6-7
Richt's 10th season saw Georgia finish with a losing record for the first time in his tenure. It included a 1-4 start and a loss to UCF in the Liberty Bowl, raising questions about his future with the program.
Les Miles (LSU, 2014)
Record: 8-5
In his 10th season at LSU, Miles faced increasing criticism after a lackluster offense and inconsistency led to a subpar year by LSU standards. The Tigers lost to rivals Alabama, Arkansas, and Notre Dame (in the Music City Bowl).
@ChrisDokish Always thought Pitt should be similar to Iowa here is how Kirk did in since 10th season: Kirk Ferentz (Iowa Hawkeyes, 2008)
In his 10th season, Ferentz led Iowa to a 9-4 record, culminating in a victory over South Carolina in the Outback Bowl.
@ChrisDokish Pitt alum would rather spend or invest their money in other things than young adults that don't show any loyalty and make decisions at the drop of a "dime". All these people spending money and their is only one winner - how long will that last?
@ChrisDokish Defense can't get off the field - besides that 4th down stop in 3rd - they were bad so that falls on Narduzzi and his puppet Bates - been that way the 2nd half of year - can't get off field on 3rd and long which is unreal!
@PghSki17 Good call - when Battle said he was coming back I wasn't too happy about that - hoping one year of actual significant playing time will help these guys next year since we had the same unit for 3 years - development this offseason is key
@PantherLair Chris and you still can't make predictions correctly - so you have that going for you (Can't beat MAC team to end season to finish 8-5 like back in August)
@ChrisDokish What are your thoughts on that - where you expected him to go to that type of school or did he pick them to be closer to home but could had another chance at higher level school?
@PghSki17 He wants to be just like his buddy DeShields - getting paid to ride the pine - can't blame them - but WOW do people in this country have money to burn - wonder how they even got that much money wasting on college athletes who don't produce - that is bad business
