It's absurd (and borderline illegal in CA) that I have to chat live with an agent to cancel a recurring charge made accidentally and without an agent involved. 🧵

@XfinitySupport This is a scammy, fraudulent practice to keep customers locked into charges they may not even realize they're getting. Has anyone else dealt with this from Xfinity?

@XfinitySupport I also tried (fruitlessly) to use the chatbot in hopes of not needing to involve a live human to unsubscribe. The agent I ended up chatting with could not provide a way for me to unsubscribe independently or and explanation for why I couldn't: https://t.co/uoWvOyPNvF
