Pastor Matt Sine takes us on some deep dives and leads us in Bible studies. We will cover tough topics, historical philosophies and take on bad theology.
@JLU_2016 Without regard to Hamill, why change Rogue One - the lesson of sacrifice is too significant. We already know the happy ending comes later… seems like a great cultural stepping stone to a much greater sacrifice, and far happier ending… ;)
Colossians 3:23–24 (NKJV)
“Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord… knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance…”
Whatever who does?
See, God indeed expects you to hear, heed, hold fast and commit yourself by choice of your will to work on His behalf, in accordance to the Holy Scriptures.
Reject all systems that make you a robot either directly or indirectly.
Hebrews 6:10 (NKJV)
“For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love…”
Who is doing the work and labor of love in this verse?
Learn to be the responsible follower of Christ, CHOOSE to work a labor for the King of Kings!!!
Matthew 25:21 (NKJV)
“Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”
Who in this verse is the responsible party to be faithful? If it is the individual servant then meticulous determinism is patently false.
Once again Charity Baptist joined with our Korean brothers and sisters from Frontier Mission Church. It was a privilege to praise and preach Christ Risen and Reigning!
God bless you this Resurrection Sunday!!!
Christ is the fulfillment of the scapegoat. He bears sin away — not into the wilderness but into the grave. He declares “It is finished,” yields up His spirit, and sin goes with Him into the wilderness of death.
His resurrection, however, is what makes the difference. The Old Testament scapegoat goes into Azazel and does not return. Jesus goes into the grave, but three days later returns alive in victory and glory. By His resurrection He guarantees eternal life, so that when we believe, He places His Spirit in us, sealing us unto the day of redemption.
This is a picture of redemption, restoration, and victory. Make sure this weekend is a true celebration of God overcoming sin and death and setting in motion the restoration of all things in Jesus Christ.
Leviticus 16:20-22
And when he has made an end of atoning for the Holy Place and the tent of meeting and the altar, he shall present the live goat. And Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the iniquities of the people of Israel, and all their transgressions, all their sins. And he shall put them on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is in readiness. The goat shall bear all their iniquities on itself to a remote area, and he shall let the goat go free in the wilderness.”
Psalm 103:12 (NKJV)
“As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”
@DustinAshWrites This IS utter madness. It always has been. This view of God does NOT originate in any Scripture passage. All who read should reject this immediately.
@x9ishere Wow, did not mean to activate your “troll mode”. I will step outside with you so we can both share the wonder and beauty of God’s creation…
But thanks for demonstrating exactly what I originally posted.
Calvinist: “You do not understand Calvinism…”
Me: “ I’m sorry, but you’re perfectly mistaken. It is precisely because I do understand Calvinism that I am not a Calvinist.”
@J17apologetics Correct. Made-up “graces” have bubbled up through the sewage of various philosophies and made a muddy mess of the matter for far too long.
