@IWackadoodle@GearHangout BattleMechs often gets blown to pieces by actual tanks, because unlike most morons's idea of combat, armor isn't king.
BattleMechs are more like Mazinger Z's filtered through a milnerd Redditor's idea of armor durability.
@IWackadoodle@GearHangout In a world of combat, I wouldn't trust morons who can't use those wheels to maneuver from cover to cover and thinks that armor solves everything.
@TreesBarks@realmechislove "tankish"
"big and bulky"
"hmmm yes I only play with the biggest minority of mechs, despite factual evidence and statistics states that they are the rarest and most expensive to field. But they are because I said so."
BattleTech fans ain't beating the allegations anytime soon
@ZloNoNameSov@realmechislove "BattleTech is not Mecha"
"BattleTech is uniform"
When I am in a gaslighting/goalpost-moving competition and my opponent is a BattleTech fan. Is this how it feels to talk to Relativists?
@ZloNoNameSov@realmechislove That description runs to every single piloted mecha setting. Barring ones that runs on AI (BattleTech *also* has Drone mechs.)
Front Mission, Ring of Red, and ChromeHounds are more "walking tank" than BattleTech, and still firmly mecha.
you are prettying much lying.
@ZloNoNameSov@realmechislove BattleTech is a wargame franchise that uses... a mecha setting.
The BattleTech universe is all about armies using humanoid mobile weapons against each other. And said franchise built entire cultures around said humanoid mobile weapons.
Are you trolling?
@TreesBarks@realmechislove Those are Heavies and the Assaults, which are around 10-20% of the roster. Because not everyone is a Lyran. But BattleTech fans don't read apparently.
"Battletech is more tankish than anime where things explode in 1 shot."
that is... untrue? why are you lying?
@TreesBarks@realmechislove Are you even talking about the same game?
If BattleTech isn't anime, then they wouldn't have added in dozens and dozens of anime mechs, so many that is enough to have it's own game.
BattleTech is a Real Robot anime mech game from the start filtered through a milnerd lens.
