Interesting #vfx breakdown clip for Transformers Dark Of The Moon (2011), showing the beautiful raw plates that we were pampered with working on Michael Bay's films, complete with in-camera flying sparks, explosions, plumes & all. Full clip here - https://t.co/xRBg6FJ1n9
@DiscussingFilm That means thats roughly 17-18 shots per artists. That doesn’t seem unusual however keeping in mind the level of quality i still imagine it was a challenge 😮💨
The complexity jumps up by orders of magnitude so much from a static shot to a moving one to a 360 one to a “one-er” to two characters to reflection changing to handheld motion to adding a character to…-
Everyone talking about this shot like they really do this vfx shit. Someone should actually recreate it so we can see what it’s really about but personally this shot is very complex and to reference old “mirror” shots and say look how they did is not valid comparison.
This mirror sequence in ‘MOON KNIGHT’ took 10 months to complete.
It was the most complicated shot in the entire series.

Shot with this dude once YEARS ago. The amount of photographers I’ve had be overfamiliar with me throughout my career is insane. Just a testament to how a lot of male togs get into it just to be “close” to attractive women.
Everyone in the comments didnt even actually watch the full video, first of all Kubrik was just a dude like everyone else not a god. Secondly the video ends with him explaining why Cg is overused and actually defends why the practical original shot is still better then any cg
