In April 1932, racing driver Albert Divo, at the wheel of a Bugatti, and pilot Marcel Doret, flying a Dewoitine fighter, faced off in a speed race at the Linas-Montlhéry racetrack. Unsurprisingly, the aeroplane won.

In 1939, Mr Guillaumet flew it on the New York–Biscarrosse route, covering 5,875 km, which earned him the ‘Blue Ribbon’ for the record for crossing the North Atlantic.

Dimensions: Length 32.7cm, Width 34.5cm. Unearthed from Subutun Tomb M1 in Qingzhou City, Shandong Province in 1965. Shandong Museum, China.

Yue-ceremonial axe symbolizes political authority in early China. The main motif of the weapon is a very mean human mask. Inscription “Ya Chou” is beside the mask’s mouth.
