@KishonFisherman Was lamenting the sorry state of a city near me with gf’s lib granddad over the weekend.
“It’s bullshit that we can’t go to sections of American cities or use public transportation because of criminals.”
Then he said I was being racist. Incredible!
@esjesjesj People who disbelieve in the reality of their own body are undeniably mentally ill. Not really comparable to a woman devoted to a man who greatly improved her living situation.
Merit and the free market are free to operate within the American job market for Americans. You should intuitively sense that it is bad to allow foreigners who will accept a fraction of the pay to take jobs from Americans. That drives wages down in this country and leads to underemployment of actual Americans in favor of immigrants. That is a bad thing
I would prefer every open job in America be filled by a current American citizen before we outsource. I do not care to serve a global economy. I do not care to provide opportunities to citizens of other countries. Immigration should be subordinated to the needs of Americans, the people, not the economy
Nobody mentioned race, I am talking nationality. Whether an immigrant may eventually reach citizenship status is not the question. The question is whether American companies should give preferential treatment in hiring to American citizens over foreigners. I believe the obvious answer to be yes for societal stability. We can’t open every job up to international applicants who are willing to do the work for cheaper. All Americans would at that point be forced to accept a lesser wage. America the nation exists to serve the American people, not to pursue the highest GDP or economic return. Americans ought not have to compete with international applicants for American jobs.
@SoreSorid@111111Rua111111@memeticsisyphus I didn’t say they should get a light sentence. Insurance would reimburse, I didn’t say anything about it being instantaneous. You have no argument against me unless you can make up something I didn’t say. You’re an idiot, truly. You have no idea what my beliefs are lmao
@111111Rua111111@memeticsisyphus I don’t want the cop punished you imbecile, I said they they should be given more training. I support law enforcement, which means I want them to be perfect and protect people rather than flipping criminals into innocent grandparents
@SoreSorid@111111Rua111111@memeticsisyphus So just to recap, I was correct and your entire argument required misrepresenting what I said. And you’re projecting by calling me gay and brown. You’re extremely unintelligent, and I suspect very poor as a consequence. Please don’t reproduce
Below is your strawman of what I said, and “If someone steals and wrecks your car, insurance instantly gets you a new car” is a paraphrase of that strawman. I never said that insurance instantly gets you a new car because I don’t think it’s that simple. You, once again, are too stupid to keep up
@SirGeneralZ@111111Rua111111@memeticsisyphus Just wanted to go back to this you fat faggot retard, if a nigger steals your car and crashes it do you unironically think insurance just instantly gets you a new car?
@SoreSorid@111111Rua111111@memeticsisyphus If you were literate at all, you’d have realized that I was paraphrasing your strawman. You’re maybe the stupidest person I’ve ever interacted with. If I were as unintelligent as you, I’d be more careful about throwing the term subhuman around.
@SoreSorid@111111Rua111111@memeticsisyphus “Cars are worth less to drivers than horses used to be to their owners” ≠ if someone steals and wrecks your car, insurance instantly gets you a new car.
The ≠ symbol means “does not equal” just to give you the best chance at understanding since you’re clearly struggling
@SoreSorid@111111Rua111111@memeticsisyphus I personally am more in favor of public flogging for first time offenders guilty of anything less than attempted murder or attempted rape. Cars now are worth less to drivers than horses used to be to their owners. People who have their car stolen get reimbursed. Lower stakes.
@SoreSorid@111111Rua111111@memeticsisyphus I don’t disagree with the principle, but I don’t know what crimes this driver committed before fleeing. If he just stole the car, prison. If he’s fleeing a murder, execute. I think we should be permanently ridding ourselves of more violent criminals.
It is silly and reductive, actually. It’s also logically incoherent. Were there no fleeing criminal vehicle putting an increasing number of people in danger, the cop would not have been in the position to have to choose between a PIT in that moment or letting it continue to escalate. A decision was made, probably the correct one in all honesty, but the execution was poor. Regardless, the fault lies almost exclusively with the criminal. If the cop had successfully spun him towards the median, as was his intention, he’d be commended for a job well done.
Your hatred of law enforcement clouds your judgement. It also makes you seem like a stupid child.
Pitting is great when it works. Outcomes like this show the need to equip LEOs with better options like the grappler. I don’t want officers being forced into real world trolley problem scenarios where they have to choose between a PIT with potential collateral damage or letting them continue towards more populated areas.
I agree that the cop was trying to do the right thing and protect people. The reality is that he didn’t execute a flawless pit maneuver and there was collateral damage. Me being able to admit this doesn’t make me a crime apologist. Your inability to admit it does make you a dipshit though
