On Friday my son decided to start a shiny only run through of Pokemon Scarlet after watching a number of people complete it.
Since Friday and spending almost 12 hours in game, he finally has a shiny Fletchling so he can start his play through! #pokemon #shinypokemon

And although I like the open world concept, I think Legends ZA and Arceus both handled this better.
I still plan to play the game but will likely look at testing out areas before committing to any part of the story.

Playing Pokemon Scarlet last night, I think I worked out why I struggle with this game, the lack of structure.
Although, you could argue that the 3 main story lines offer the structure, the game is so open world you can tackle any part of those storylines at anypoint in your game

In the month of May I restarted my Pokemon Legends Arceus journey and am now at the stage of perfecting the Pokédex and Shiny hunting.
Tonight, I’ve deleted my Pokemon Scarlet game data and will restart this journey, another of the franchise I don’t think I actually completed!

Purchased Pokemon Legends Arceus years ago when it first came out, absolutely loved it.
But at the time, I never completed it. Got as far as Arceus and for whatever reason I stopped playing.
Tonight, after restarting it at the start of the month, the completed the game! #pokemon

@JohnnyCrambo Never had the chance as a kid, thought about starting with TCG when 151 came out, eventually started with Destined Rivals (love this set)
Been picking up 151, trying to complete the base set.
